Project Overview
This custom joinery project in Coogee covered built-in wardrobes with integrated LED shelf lighting, open timber shelving above the bathtub, and a full-height kitchen pantry unit with an integrated fridge/freezer and bar-handle detailing. Each piece was measured, built and installed on site to fit the existing spaces, using a consistent timber-veneer finish throughout.

Challenges
Fitting joinery to existing rooms means every carcass and panel needs to be measured and scribed to the real dimensions of the space rather than a standard size — particularly for the sliding wardrobe doors and the full-height pantry unit, which needed to integrate a built-in fridge/freezer within its footprint. Running LED lighting inside the wardrobe shelving also meant coordinating cabling and power within the joinery itself.
Our Solution
FRANCA FITOUTS measured and scribed each joinery piece to the existing room dimensions, building the wardrobe carcasses, bathroom shelving and kitchen pantry unit to fit precisely on installation. LED strip lighting was integrated into the wardrobe shelving during fabrication, and the pantry unit was built around the integrated fridge/freezer with bar-handle hardware to match the wardrobe doors.
Construction Details
Works included fabrication and installation of built-in wardrobe carcasses and sliding doors with bar-handle hardware, integrated LED shelf lighting within the wardrobe, open timber shelving above the bathtub, and a full-height kitchen pantry unit built around an integrated fridge/freezer.
Materials
The joinery uses a warm timber-veneer finish throughout, with matte bar-handle hardware, integrated LED strip lighting to the wardrobe shelving, and durable laminate surrounds to the pantry's integrated fridge/freezer.
Results
