Challenges

Marble-look benchtops and matching splashbacks need to be set out and cut so the veining runs consistently across the vanity, while a floating vanity install requires accurate in-wall support and plumbing rough-in before tiling begins. Coordinating the shower's reeded glass screen and wall-mounted tapware with the tiling sequence was central to a clean, consistent finish.

Wall-mounted tapware, round mirrors and lighting were positioned as part of the same coordinated install.

Construction Details

Works included plumbing rough-in for the floating vanity and wall-mounted tapware, full tiling to the shower and vanity walls, supply and installation of the marble-look stone vanity top and splashback, reeded glass shower screen installation, round mirror installation, and final fitoff of tapware, lighting and hardware.

The completed bathroom uses a book-matched marble-look stone to the vanity and splashback, a timber-veneer vanity cabinet, reeded/fluted glass to the shower screen, round frameless mirrors, and matte wall-mounted tapware throughout.
